Personal pet peeve of mine when bbq places offer Texas Pete as the hot option. None of them were distoguishible, and if I had to guess what was in each I'd say sweet baby rays mixed with water.
The reason it's not great is the bbq sauce selection. It's nothing to write home about, but better than the average pulled pork. Regarding BBQ though, in my personal opinion, there's 3 tiers of bbq.Bad - meat and sauce are badGood- meat or sauce is goodGreat - meat and sauce are greatThe bbq here is good, relying heavily on the meat to pull the weight of the plate. Chicken wings position themselves on a platter fit for Hercules himself and stand fast as some of the finest in this town. Exciting establishment dining, libating with a drink, and spending time with souls of the lowest expectations and highest caliber.
